Every registered voter in LA County gets a ballot in the mail. Pick the way that is easiest for you. They all count the same.

You don't have to ask for a ballot.
California automatically mails a ballot to every registered voter, for every election. It comes to the address where you're registered, starting in early October.
No ballot yet, or did you move? Check your registration, or ask for a new ballot by Oct. 27.

- Fill it in at home and sign the envelope.
- Mail it (no stamp needed), put it in an official drop box, or bring it to any Vote Center.
If you mail it, it must be postmarked by Nov. 3. Mail it early to be safe.

Vote Centers in LA County are open 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 3, 2026. If you are in line at 8 p.m., stay in line. You still get to vote.
When is my mail ballot due?
If you mail it, it must be postmarked by Nov. 3 and arrive by Nov. 10. You can also drop it in an official drop box or bring it to any Vote Center by 8 p.m. on Nov. 3.
Do I need ID to vote in LA County?
Most California voters don't need to show ID. Some first-time voters may be asked for one.
